A List

1. Being vegan. I know it sounds radical, to not eat any animal products, but knowing that my diet does not cause suffering allows me to be at peace with myself.

2. Reading. I used to read all the time, but I stopped. I had forgotten how much I missed it. My favorite books are the fantasy/sci-fi adventures, but whatever types of books you like to read, they engage your mind so that you stop worrying. Plus, I think I leave part of my mind in the book, which makes dealing with reality that much easier.

3. Singing and dancing. Now, I can't do either of these with any skill, but if I'm by myself I find that singing Les Mis while frolicking about the house is positively therapeutic.

4. Exercising. I hated gym class, but have found that exercising is good for mind and body.

6. Taking walks.

7. Dressing up. I usually don't leave my room, but looking different will often make me feel different.

8. Watching the stars.

9. Having pets.

10. Rain. Standing in it, walking in it, and even, yes, frolicking in it, I find rain to be the most calming and invigorating thing to ever exist.
